Many materials and structures have such components that perform various similar functions. To prevent loosening of the coupling pair, lock spring washers, multi tooth lock washers, round nut lock washers, and saddle shaped, corrugated, and tapered elastic washers should be used.

Generally speaking, stainless steel gaskets are mainly used for reducing pressure. When certain parts are tightened with greater axial force, it is easy to press the gasket into a saucer shape. At this point, the material can be changed to improve hardness.

1. Spring washer: The locking effect of spring washer is general, and important parts should be minimized or not used, and self-locking structure should be adopted. For spring washers (pneumatic or electric) used for high-speed fastening, surface phosphating washers should be used to improve their anti friction performance, otherwise they can easily be burned or opened due to friction and heat, and even damage the surface of the connecting piece. The thin plate connection does not use a spring washer structure. According to statistics, spring washers are being used less and less in automobiles.

2. Toothed elastic washer: As the name suggests, a toothed washer has multiple perforations on a stainless steel gasket. Due to the large and uniform locking force of toothed elastic washers, they are generally used in the automotive industry, while the use of spacer type elastic washers is relatively rare.
