Characteristics of stainless steel gasket:

1. Air tightness:

For the medium of the sealing system, the gasket shall not leak during a certain period of operation at the recommended temperature and pressure.

2. Compressibility:

The contact surface of the gasket and flange should be well fitted after the connecting bolts are tightened to ensure sealing.

3. Anti creep:

Under the influence of pressure load and service temperature, the gasket should have good creep resistance, otherwise it may cause loss of bolt torque, resulting in a decrease in surface stress of the gasket, and thus leakage of the hard gas system.

4. Chemical resistance:

The gasket selected should not be corroded by chemical media and should not contaminate the media.

5. Resilience:

Even when the system is stable, the two flanges connected to it will definitely have slight displacement due to the influence of temperature and pressure. The elastic function of the gasket should be able to compensate for this displacement to ensure the sealing performance of the system.

6. Adhesion resistance:

The gasket should be easily removed from the flange without adhesion after use.

7. Non corrosive:

The gasket shall be free of corrosion on the surface of the connected flange.

8. Temperature resistance:

The gasket selected should ensure normal use at low and high temperatures in the system.
